Good Shepherd Lutheran Church

Did you know that our church collects and distributes food not only for our congregation and Levittown, but for others in need on Long Island?  The food we collect is also sent to Lutheran Community Services in Uniondale.  The food provides hope for families in need.

Our Sunday School has sent over 500 shoeboxes to children all over the world.  The children collect small toys, pencils, toothpaste, toothbrushes and anything else that will fit into a shoebox that a child their own age would like to own.  This shoebox may possibly be the only Christmas present that the child will receive.

Our WELCA Ladies (Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America) are tireless when it comes to mission work.  They collect hats and mittens for our Native Americans.  Make quilts, school kits, health kits and school bags for all in need. They support the children of Appalachia, one of the poorest parts or our country by hosting a baby shower each year.  Their work is never done!!
