Welcome to one of the fastest growing churches on Long Island!
Good Shepherd is about Family. We host many gatherings and affairs that include the entire family.
Our Sunday morning worship services are very family oriented, giving all families an opportunity to come to worship together. This is so important these days when our lives are so busy and we are all involved in individual adventures.
Coming to Good Shepherd is like coming home! One visit with us and you will understand why.

I had a bag of them and began planting around the garden some bulbs
with great confidence because the soil we have is quite good… Then I
thought: “Why not put some in at the church as well?” I did this but
despaired because the soil seemed hard, sandy and rocky. I persisted.
Got the job done. And promptly forgot all about them. Until this week.
The gladiola’s came up tremendously at the church. At home, not so
good. In fact, none are even flowering yet.
My life lesson? Don’t give up even when things seem bleak. Eventually
the love and care you plant in people’s lives will come to full bloom;
especially where you least expect it.
As God tells us in the Bible: “Never tire doing good”.

Our WELCA Ladies (Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America) are tireless when it comes to mission work. They collect hats and mittens for our Native Americans. Make quilts, school kits, health kits and school bags for all in need. They support the children of Appalachia, one of the poorest parts or our country by hosting a baby shower each year. Their work is never done!!
Come join our younger members as they gather together the last Monday of every month. Our gatherings are sure to provide our youth with fun and adventure as well as caring for the community and each other.

All Saints Day
For all the saints who have gone before us and those still amongst us that we would like to celebrate. This November is the month of Thanksgiving for God’s many blessings upon us. Especially the people in our lives, we are dedicating a special page in our memorial book to all those saints. Instead of having a thanks-giving financial drive, we are inviting you to give a special donation in honor of a special person that have gone before us and those amongst us that we would like to celebrate. God has blessed us with great people in our lives and in November, we want to lift them up & honor them.
It’s time again for our Mitten Tree. We will be set up the first week of October. Items being collected will be gloves, hats, scarves, and socks for children & adults. These items will go to the Navajo Indians. The deadline for our collection will be October 31.
Thank you for your donations & generosity.
